During the 2022 Federal Election, the Australian Labor Party made commitments to upgrade the sporting facilities at Kariong Recreation Area and in Kincumber’s Frost Reserve.

Both facilities are no longer fit for purpose and in need of an upgrade.

As part of the Kariong sporting facility upgrade, the facility will get female changing rooms.

The Frost Reserve sporting facility in Kincumber will get a completely new facility, that will meet the needs of the sporting organisations that use the facility including the local soccer and cricket clubs.
