The 2023 Wiseberry Peninsula Winter Appeal has finished, with this year’s campaign being its most successful.
The community filled over two boxes with donations, including non-perishable food products, warm clothing, and other essential items.
Altogether, 548.95kg of essential winter items were donated to this year’s appeal.
Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, has commended all those who donated and were involved with the appeal.
“When our community comes together, we achieve great outcomes”, Dr Reid said.
“This year’s Wiseberry Peninsula Winter Appeal has been a huge success and I thank Tammy Jackett, Jyden Dunn, Kiara Kelly, Casey Williams, and the rest of the Wiseberry Peninsula team on all their work”.
“A lot of people on the Central Coast are finding it difficult to get by and these donations will assist Mary Mac’s Place in Woy Woy provide food, clothing, and other support”, Dr Reid said.
Wiseberry Peninsula Property Manager, Tammy Jackett, thanked the community for their support.
“On the Peninsula there are a lot of families struggling and the response from the community was overwhelming and much appreciated”, Ms Jackett said.
“Mary Macs Place receives no government funding and rely on the generosity of local businesses and the community”.
“The Peninsula delivered, and we thank you”, Ms Jackett said.
This is the second year in a row that Wiseberry Peninsula has facilitated a winter appeal.
