Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre (KNC) is calling on the community for food donations and support for its Christmas hampers program.

Every Christmas, KNC organises hampers to be distributed to people doing it tough and for those people who might miss out on celebrating a special festive lunch or dinner during the holidays.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, is supporting KNC as it prepares for a busy Christmas period.

“Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre and its volunteers are outstanding, the centre is a focal point for assistance and support for so many people”, Dr Reid said.

“This year, the centre is organising Christmas hampers for people doing it tough and they need the community’s help”.

“I am calling on those who can, to please donate via the centre’s website or by visiting KNC to drop-off any non-perishable food items to go towards its Christmas hampers program”, Dr Reid said.

“There are many people that are struggling with the cost of living and need a bit of help this time of year. Any support is appreciated and will go a long way”.

Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre Manager, Leanne Clarke, says people are doing it tough.

"We believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy of Christmas, regardless of their financial situation”, Ms Clarke said.

“That's why we're launching our annual Christmas Hamper Drive, and we're asking for your support”.

“By donating, you can help us bring some holiday cheer to families in need. Your support will make a difference by providing vulnerable people in our community with food and gifts to celebrate Christmas”, Ms Clarke said.

“Every donation count, no matter how big or small. Let's come together as a community and make this Christmas special for everyone."

Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre is located at 20-22 Kincumber Street, Kincumber.
