A morning tea to recognise people celebrating significant birthdays and wedding anniversaries has taken place.

Organised by the Federal Member for Robertson, the occasion was an opportunity to present each celebrator with a certificate and to enjoy a reflective morning tea.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, says it is an honour to regularly host a celebratory morning and afternoon tea for locals.

“Since my election, I have taken great joy in inviting people who are celebrating significant birthdays or marriage anniversaries into my office”, Dr Reid said.

“It is a great delight to present each celebrator with a certificate and provide a brilliant morning or afternoon tea”.

“Getting to know my constituents is a real pleasure and I wish them all well during this happy period”, Dr Reid said.

The celebrators included:

• Shelia Hall, celebrating 100 years.
• Mr Eric and Mrs Anne Higgins, celebrating 50 years of marriage.
• Mr Bruce and Mrs Helen Fraser, celebrating 60 years of marriage.
• Mr Alfred and Mrs Gwenneth Hill, celebrating 65 years of marriage.
• Mr Ian and Mrs Lillian Bennetts, celebrating 60 years of marriage.
