Hundreds of Central Coast residents have joined with local, state, and federal representatives to officially launch the 2025 re-election campaign for Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP.
The launch featured inspiring speeches from NSW Senator, Deborah O’Neill, State Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch MP, and Federal Education Minister, The Hon, Jason Clare MP.
Dr Gordon Reid delivered a speech that focused on his achievements in healthcare, infrastructure, and the cost of living.
This includes Labor’s Peninsula Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Umina Beach, the recently opened Gosford Medicare Mental Health Centre in West Gosford, the $130 million upgrade to Avoca Drive in Kincumber, and Labor’s tax cuts for every taxpayer.

“It is a privilege and an honour to represent our community in Canberra.
“Working as an emergency department doctor, I put my hand up to represent the coast after seeing 12 years of cuts from the former Liberal Government.
“Labor’s Peninsula Medicare Urgent Care Clinic has treated over 13,000 patients for free, and our recently opened Gosford Medicare Mental Health Centre is now providing free walk-in mental health services to our community.
“Working as part of the Federal Labor Government team, we have strengthened Medicare and improved healthcare services.
“Bulk billing rates have increased to 75.4%, in the electorate of Robertson, representing an additional 39,507 bulk billed GP visits.
“I am also fighting to secure another Medicare Urgent Care Clinic for our community, and I have launched a petition to secure this funding.
“As a government, we have helped ease the cost of living through our tax cuts for every taxpayer, energy bill relief for every household, cheaper medicines, free TAFE, and by wiping student debt.
“The Federal Liberals had a decade of over-promising and under-delivering for the people of the Central Coast.
“We saw a $50 billion cut to public hospitals, an attempted GP tax, and as Health Minister, the now Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, was voted the worst health minister by Australian doctors.
“Our community always loses under Liberal governments.
“There is more work to do, and I am eager to continue the progress we have made and to keep delivering for the Central Coast community.
