The Crestani Scholarships have been awarded funding through the Federal Government’s 2021-22 Volunteer Grants.

The Volunteer Grants support the work of local community organisations by enabling the inclusion of vulnerable people and promote awareness to increase participation in volunteering. They also support the efforts of volunteers.

The Crestani Scholarships have received $2100 to purchase two digital cameras to support its volunteers during their work.

Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP has met with founder and CEO, Ms Yvonne Crestani, to congratulate the charity and learn more about the services they provide.

“It was a pleasure to meet with the founder and CEO of Crestani Scholarships, Ms Yvonne Crestani, who has years of involvement in supporting the Central Coast community through her charity and in other capacities”. Dr Reid said.

“It’s great to see charities like the Crestani Scholarships being supported by the Federal Albanese Government and I would like to again congratulate its CEO, Yvonne,  and its volunteers for ensuring allied health professionals can train in the most up-to-date practices in cancer treatment”. Dr Reid said.

Founder and CEO, Ms Yvonne Crestani, has spoken about what this funding will achieve for the charity.

“The funding has been used to purchase two digital cameras that will support our volunteers record and document the work we undertake. The cameras will also be used to support the production of our annual brochure and reports”. Ms Crestani said.

The Crestani Scholarships is a charity that funds further education to advance the skills and techniques in cancer treatment for allied health professionals. The charity started in 2007 and has a long list of recipients that have benefited from the scholarships. Throughout the year they run fundraising events including opera, fashion parades and high teas.
