The Wiseberry Foundation has launched its 2023 Winter Appeal and is calling on the Central Coast community to get behind the campaign.

This year, Wiseberry Peninsula is supporting Mary Mac’s Place in Woy Woy and is asking for donations of non-perishable food items and warm winter clothing.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, is supporting the Wiseberry Peninsula’s Winter Appeal for the second year in a row.

“This year, Wiseberry Peninsula is supporting Mary Mac’s Place in Woy Woy, and calling on the community to donate non-perishable food items and warm winter clothing”, Dr Reid said.

“Last year was such a massive success, and the community really got on board”.

“Wiseberry Peninsula is hoping this year is even bigger, and with the support of the community, we can achieve this”, Dr Reid said.

“We all know how important Mary Mac’s Place is and how amazing its volunteers are. I encourage the community to give generously”.

Wiseberry Peninsula Property Manager, Tammy Jackett, says this year people are doing it extra tough and need the support more than ever.

“With the cost of living really taking a bite, and more people than ever accessing support services, we need people to give generously”, Ms Jackett said.

“This year we are supporting Mary Mac’s Place, who do a phenomenal job feeding people who are homeless or caring for people escaping difficult circumstances”.

“There is need in the community, and we’re calling on people to donate, if they can”, Ms Jackett said.

Dr Reid says there are two locations for people to drop off donations to.

“To donate, people can visit Wiseberry Peninsula in Umina Beach or my office in West Gosford”, Dr Reid said.

The 2023 Winter Appeal is running for the entire month of June.

Wiseberry Peninsula is located at 264 West Street, Umina Beach.

Dr Reid’s office is located at Riverside Building, Level 3/69 Central Coast Highway, West Gosford.
