A special congratulatory morning tea has been organised and hosted by Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, for residents recognising significant marriage anniversaries or birthdays.
Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP says that it was a privilege and a pleasure to share in the celebrations of couples and residents recognising significant marriage anniversaries and birthdays.
“A special part of being a Member of Federal Parliament is finding out who in the community are celebrating 50th, 60th or even 70th wedding anniversaries, as well as 100th birthdays. These residents deserve our appreciation and respect. They demonstrate the definition of commitment and experience.” Dr Reid said.
“Listening to the various stories from couples about how they met their partners was extra special and touching. It was brilliant to have residents turning 100 share stories from throughout their lives of the people they have met, places they have been, and the work they have been involved in.” Said Dr Reid.
“My congratulations go to all the residents that came to my morning tea and I wish them, and all their families, happiness into the future”. Dr Reid said.
The morning tea took place on Wednesday September 21 and around 25 residents attended.
The Office of Dr Gordon Reid MP will host quarterly morning teas and invite residents celebrating significant marriage anniversaries and birthdays.
