A special congratulatory morning tea has been organised and hosted by Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, for residents recognising significant marriage anniversaries or birthdays.

Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP says that it was a privilege and a pleasure to share in the celebrations of couples and residents recognising significant marriage anniversaries and birthdays.

“A special part of being a Member of Federal Parliament is finding out who in the community is celebrating 50th, 60th or even 70th wedding anniversaries, as well as 100th birthdays, and beyond! These residents deserve our appreciation and respect. They demonstrate the definition of commitment.” Dr Reid said.

“Listening to the various stories from couples about their lives together is a privilege. It was great hearing stories from the past and all about who they have met, places they have been, and the work they have been involved in.” Said Dr Reid.

“My congratulations go to all the residents that came to my morning tea and I wish them, and all their families, happiness into the future”. Dr Reid said.

The morning tea took place on Friday 21 June, with 10 residents attending.

  • Mr Reginald and Mrs Hilary Kelso celebrating 50 years of marriage.
