Delta Laboratories PTY LTD has received $25,000 through the Albanese Labor Government’s Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Program.

Delta Laboratories are a major medical and cosmetic manufacturing business located in Somersby on the Central Coast.

It employs over 120 locals and has plans to expand its operations.

Delta Laboratories will use the grant funding to improve its energy efficiency and ensure business sustainability.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, welcomes this investment in local Central Coast manufacturing and jobs.

“I commend Delta Laboratories on receiving this grant funding to improve and strengthen its business processes”, Dr Reid said.

“I am pleased by the Albanese Government’s targeted investments in manufacturing on the Central Coast, which helps secure existing jobs and promotes further job creation”.

“I was impressed by a recent visit to Delta Laboratories, where I saw firsthand the business’ cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities, which ensures high-quality medical and cosmetic products. These products then go on to be sold nationally and internationally”, Dr Reid said.

“The Albanese Labor Government understands the importance of manufacturing in our region and will continue to support manufacturing sustainability on the Central Coast”.

Delta Laboratories General Manager, Mr Daniel Whateley, says the energy efficiency grant will support Delta Laboratories reduce its carbon footprint and increase competitiveness.

“With help from the Federal Government’s $25,000 Energy Efficiency Grant, Delta Laboratories, in collaboration with Powerfy consulting, will expand our energy monitoring capabilities to reduce our carbon footprint”, Mr Whateley said.

“This funding will help us optimise our equipment and processes to help make us more competitive and to keep manufacturing jobs here on the Central Coast”.

“It was great to have Dr Reid visit us to see how the federal grant money will help make Delta Laboratories a competitive and sustainable presence here in Somersby”, Mr Whateley said.

“Delta Laboratories appreciates that the Federal Government is so supportive of small and medium sized local businesses. In tough economic conditions, it’s the privately owned businesses like Delta Laboratories that keep the community working. We have over 120 locals employed”.

“The more sustainable and competitive we are, means more jobs today and more opportunities for the next generation”, Mr Whateley said.
