The Gosford City Football Club has been awarded funding through the Federal Albanese Government’s 2021-22 Volunteer Grants.

The club has been awarded $5000 to go towards the training costs for coaches to attend coaching clinics and to get more referees trained to respond to a growing club.

Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP met with Col Seggie, Gosford City Football Club President, to announce the funding and congratulate the club.

“Sport is a great way to build connections in the community, while exercising both body and mind. Investing in the capacity of sporting clubs ensures that more people are able to get involved in sport and enjoy the benefits it provides”. Dr Reid said.

“I look forward to continuing to support sporting clubs across the Robertson electorate and removing the barriers to sport participation”. Said Dr Reid.

Gosford City Football Club President, Mr Col Seggie, says that the club community will benefit greatly from this funding.

“The funding announced will ensure that the club can train more coaches and referees to meet the growing numbers of players in our teams”. Mr Seggie said.

“This funding is a great support, and we look forward to continuing to grow the capacity Gosford City Football Club”. Said Mr Seggie.
