Gosford Public School has visited Parliament House in Canberra to learn about the Australian Government and democracy.
Students gained insight into how government in Australia works and received the opportunity to meet with their Federal Member of Parliament, Dr Gordon Reid MP.
Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP:
“It was a pleasure meeting with students, teachers, and parents from Gosford Public School in Parliament House.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to answer questions students had about Parliament House, why Canberra was built, and how our government works in Australia.
“Students were also very inquisitive about my work practising medicine pro-bono at Wyong Hospital and how I balance my roles.
“Coming to Canberra is an amazing experience, which I am sure each student will create memories which they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
“I hope the rest of Gosford Public School’s visit to Canberra is an engaging, fun, and informative experience for the students”, Dr Reid said.
