The Australian Treasurer, Dr Jim Chalmers MP, Assistant Minister, Emma McBride MP, and Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, have inspected the construction site of twenty-one new social and affordable homes in Woy Woy that are being built through funding from the Australian Government’s $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF).

The HAFF was established in 2023, following the election of the Federal Labor Government, to finance the construction of new social and affordable homes across Australia. The delivery of these twenty-one new social and affordable homes is being undertaken by tier-one housing provider, Pacific Link Housing, and constructed by, Skope Constructions.

Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP:

“Housing remains the Federal Labor Government’s top priority because access to housing is a fundamental need.

“The HAFF is helping deliver twenty-one new social and affordable housing places in Macleay Avenue in Woy Woy. This exciting project is being delivered in collaboration with a tier-one housing provider, Pacific Link Housing, and building company, Skope Constructions. Once completed, these new homes will ensure desperately needed housing supply is available for community members experiencing precarious housing arrangements and those on the public housing waiting list.

“It is only ever a Federal Labor Government taking the issue of housing affordability and supply seriously.

“I thank Pacific Link Housing on its work identifying this site and getting this project off the ground. I commend Skope Constructions on delivering this high-quality project which will benefit many people in our community.

The project is scheduled for completion in mid-2027.
