Central Coast Junior Rugby Union has received $2,562 from the Federal Labor Government’s 2023-24 Volunteer Grants.

The sporting organisation plans to use the funding to support its volunteers undertake referee training.

“Central Coast Junior Rugby Union is looking to train more referees to adjudicate our matches, through this grant funding we will be able to support our volunteers to train as referees.

“Our club has approximately, 1678 members across the Central Coast, so we are a significant sporting code.

“We also have 600 volunteers.

“This funding will also go towards resources that support players and the game”, Mr Head said.
