Rhema 94.4 has been awarded $6,817 through the Albanese Labor Government’s Community Broadcasting Program, administered by the Community Broadcasting Foundation.

The funding will assist Rhema with its operating costs like rent and power.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, visited Rhema to congratulate the radio station on its funding.

“Rhema 94.9 is an outstanding local radio station that broadcasts to thousands of people in our community”, Dr Reid said.

“Through the assistance provided by the Federal Government’s Community Broadcasting Program, Rhema can free up other funds to use on improving its new premises at West Gosford and supporting its team”.

“I look forward to Rhema 94.9 continuing to broadcast awesome music across the Central Coast community”, Dr Reid said.

Rhema 94.9 General Manager, Mr Rick Broome, says the Community Broadcasting Program grant will help the station refocus funding sources towards other projects.

“The grant we received from the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) will go toward the cost of rent and power usage at our transmitter site at Somersby”, Mr Broome said.

“Receiving grants like this from the CBF allows us to use our income from sponsorship and donations for our core activities of producing and presenting top quality on-air content for our tens of thousands of dedicated listeners.”

Rhema 94.9 is located at 16 Dyer Crescent, West Gosford.

It is a community-run radio station and is always looking for new volunteers.
