A low-cost grocery service is now operating in Woy Woy supporting families and individuals affected by food insecurity.
The People’s Pantry rescues otherwise good groceries from ending up in landfill and resells these groceries at a significantly reduced price.
The service has been operating since 2024 from the Yaringaa Building beside Meals On Wheels on the Peninsula.
In 2024, 3,302 people were able to use the service and 22,160 kgs of food was rescued.
