The Albanese Government is Building Australia’s Future with additional funding for crucial road upgrades across the Central Coast in New South Wales to increase safety and traffic flow.
We are investing an additional $6.5 million to the Central Coast Roads Package, bringing our total commitment to $93 million.
The $107.3 million package is delivering upgrades to 29 road projects across the Central Coast, including construction of kerbs and gutters, footpaths, street drainage and new road pavement.
The projects are being delivered by Central Coast Council, which is contributing the remaining $14.3 million.
This additional funding will allow Council to complete the final unfinished five road projects, with 24 projects already complete.
These projects include:
- the Ocean Beach Road and Rawson Road Intersection Upgrade, which involves the upgrade of the existing single lane roundabout at the intersection of Ocean Beach Road and Rawson Road, Woy Woy, and
- the Shelly Beach Road Upgrade, which includes the construction of kerbs and gutters, footpaths, street drainage and new road pavement at Shelly Beach Road, Empire Bay.
The remaining three projects, Del Monte Place Upgrade in Copacabana, Lushington Road Upgrade in East Gosford and Steyne Road Upgrade in Saratoga are all underway and are expected to be completed over the next 18 months.
